THIS IS A LOVE STORY

The lives of Bonnie and Bruce became entangled in more than just love, but in synchronicity and in death.  This story is true.  Only some names have been concealed to protect the innocent.  It is a story that is filled with triumph and tragedy, success and failure.  It is a story about the strength of the human spirit and how love can transcend the ravages of cancer, raw evil, and governmental injustice.  It is Bonnie's story from birth to death.  She lived only 40 years, but said in the final days of her life that with all she experienced she feels as though she had lived ten lifetimes.  Our story has many elements in common with the movies: "Urban Cowboy," "Terms of Endearment," "Always," and "Ghost." Ironically, these movies were shot and played in sequence with our story, which unfolded between October 1983 and March 1991. Coincidentally, the first two movies were filmed in Pasadena and Houston, TX, where Bonnie and I lived.
